Sumner County, in Middle Tennessee, is dealing with flooding after heavy rain hit on Wednesday and Thursday. The Sumner County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) has been busy with calls about water problems, and more rain is expected each day for the next seven days.
Ken Weidner, who runs the Sumner County EMA, said water levels kept going up overnight. This has caused flooding on many roads in the county. Lots of pictures on social media, like Facebook and Twitter, show how bad the flooding is.
The rain is still falling in Middle Tennessee, so the flooding might get even worse before it gets better. This is the worst flooding Sumner County has seen since the big flood in 2010.
People in Sumner County are working together to deal with the flooding. The local government and emergency services are doing their best to keep everyone safe. People are helping each other out during this tough time.
When bad things happen, the community comes together to help each other. Sumner County is strong, and people are staying hopeful as they face this challenge together.
